Hi
I have Microsoft XP and have a Fuji Ditigal camera which
is wonderful. My problem is I have been downloading the
pictures to the computer with no problems They go right
away to My Pictures and I can choose what I want to do
with them. My problem is that I have about 15 -30 files
now of misc. pictues and would like to start org. the
pictures according to subject. Like our dog I would like
to take all the pictures of the dog and put in one file.
Then all the pictures of my daughter in another. Can this
be done? I have looked everywhere for information on how
I might be able to do this and can not find anything. I
do not want to get rid of any pictures since I might want
to use them for something. Also just how many files of
pictures will My Picture hold.

Thanks
Stephanie Fleming

My Documents and My Pictures are virtual files linked to
actual files that you can locate by using properties
(right click on My Pictures and then click on Properties
then you can see the directory) You can adjust My
Document parameters, but I forgot. I usually just look
things up in MS Knowledgebase or borrow an XP book from
the library.

You can sort your pictures using list instead of
thumbnail depending on the naming convention that you
used.

You can also load photos on free websites like
www.Webshots.com which will give you greater tools for
sorting and sharing pictures.

Hope this is useful.

Stephanie,

The easiest way to keep organized pictures is to do this:

In Explorer (make sure you have MyPictures highlighted),
go to menu and select FILE>NEW>FOLDER and make a new
folder under MyPictures called DOG, etc. and you can move
(click and drag) pictures to correct folder.
