"My Pictures" behaving like music folder

Hi,

I'm trying to re-organise my photos in Windows XP. They're all saved in the
"My Pictures" folder. However, this folder is acting like a music folder, ie:
there's a faded picture of a music note instead of a photo on the
bottom-right of the window, and when I go to select "Arrange Icons By..." I
get options such as Track, Artist, Year, etc instead of Size, Picture Taken
On, etc.

Is there anyway I can change the properties so that "My Pictures" will
behave as a photo folder? I've tried to select "Properties" but there's no
"Customise" tab like in all the sub-folders. (By the way, all the subfolders
containing photos act like picture folders should (e.g. I can arrange them as
filmstrips etc)) Any support with this would be very much appreciated!

In addition to John's spot-on advice:

The "Customize" tab would not be available for special folders like "My
Pictures", "My Documents" etc. To fix the problem, try one of the following
methods:

[Option 1]
Resetting the folder preferences:

Click Start, Run and type C:\
Click Tools, Folder Options
In the View tab, click "Reset all folders"
Click OK.
Close the folder

[Option 2]

You can use Keith Miller's script to fix the problem. Download
"TaskPaneFix.zip" from here:

Note: Close all folder windows before running this script.
