The WinXP Prof in my PC works fine for more than a year. Problem comes
up after i install a Pioneer DVD burner. Now my PC cannot be shutdown
normally, it restarts on its own immediately after the normal shutdown.
Everytime i have to switch off the power supply at the front of the
case.

Dose anyone come across such situation? Could it be rectified?

Please help,thank you

Hi Stephen,

Disable everything that reads 'Wake up' in the BIOS settings. Also, I have
seen this behavior if you have a CD/DVD in the drive during a shutdown.
