My computer makes an alarm type noise when I play games like Call Of Duty 2.
It also makes the same alarm noise when I start up Registry Mechanic.
I have a AMD 3500+, Asus Guru Motherboard, ATI Radeon X800 XL, I gig ram.
Anyone have a clue because its pretty annoying.

Check your system for temperature monitoring software. If such software
isn't already installed it MAY be available on the installation media
that came with your motherboard and video card. The software may also be
available on the support pages of the motherboard and graphic card
manufacturer's web sites. Your system MAY be overheating when you run
applications that impose high work loads on your CPU or video accelerator.

It's *probably* due to the computer getting pretty warm. If you're not
running any actual software on your desktop to monitor temperatures, check
in the BIOS (reboot the machine press delete on the first screen), under the
PC health section which lists all the temperatures, there's probably an
option for an alarm and the threshold, put it up a notch or two.

There is a key to every lock.

Is the sound coming from the internal speaker of you pc.

Yes The Sound is coming from the internel speaker. I have checked my BIOS
and the is option for an alarm. I make the alarm only when I play games or
when I run Registry Mechanic.

Mine does that very occasionally, almost always when being used HARD, games
or video editing etc.

It's always stopped once pc's cold booted.

I've assumed it was a temp issue as when first got pc and replaced/added a
few cards it did it often until I put some extra fans into it.
