Tom

I'm running Win 2000, SP4, Celeron 1G, 256MB RAM.
Problem: my PC keeps "forgetting" installed hardware (Lexmark E210 printer
(USB) and Motorola SM56 modem).
Description: I installed manufacturer drivers (on accompanying CDs) for
these hardware, but every once in a while my PC asks "Found New Hardware"
and prompts me to install driver after boot. I tried reinstalling, both with
accompanying drivers and drivers that Windows Update found for me, but have
the same problem.

Please help me with this annoying problem.

Thanks!
Tom

Seems like if the replaceable battery on the motherboard is getting
weak, then this is a symptom. Try replacing the battery. Usually an
American quarter-sized battery.
