I can hear nothing on my PC. It doesn't matter which port of the three the
speakers are plugged into. The Drivers are all up-to-date, and the System
checker finds nothing wrong with any of the audio hardware/software.

Have you tried another set of speakers, or a headset?

Have you checked to make sure the sound isn't muted? If yes, what shows in
Device Manager > Sound, Video and Game Controllers?
Is your device listed and reported to be working properly? If yes, what shows
as the Sound Playback Default device in Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices
applet > Audio tab?

All 3 boxes in that tab list SB Audigy Audio [9000] for Sound playback,
Sound recording, and MIDI music playback.

Have you tried the speakers on a another unit like Radio f.e.?
Even the power light might be on the plug itself could be faulty.
the cable coming out of the plug, can be pulled out inside it, and
one wouldn't know it's broken, happens frequently with headphones..

If your device is not listed or not reported to be working properly in
Device Manager > Sound, Video and Game Controllers, you need to
install/reinstall your audio/sound drivers. You should be able to download
the drivers from your PC manufacturer support site for your exact make/model
of your PC and once downloaded install the drivers per the manufacturers
instructions.

If you have an add-on PCI audio/sound adapter/card, go to the card/adapter
manufacturer support site for the drivers and download/install them per the
manufacturers instructions.

If you need to find out any information on the PC, devices and/or other
things, download and run:

This trouble is hard to shoot because there are so many
variables. A good checklist appears in PC Help Desk
in a Book (pub. Que.)
