My pc doesn't work with USB removable hard drive

Hi all,
there is a delay writing failer during i was moving files to 1 USB hard
drive and plugged another USB hard drive in.then 2 of the USB hard drive
stopped working and do not appear under My computer. There was few error
messages during the pc shut down, after i restart my pc both of USB hard
drive are not recognize any more, even after reboot, i was using them on my
pc for 6 months, all my friends' USB hard drive are not recognized in my pc
aswell,windows said malfunctioned for all of them, both of my hard drive are
working in their computers,but my USB wireless keyboard, game controller and
mouse are working even USB 3.5 floppy disc drive are working with my pc.
please help me find out what's wrong with my computer(SONY VAIO), thanks.

Restore USB service.
 
I'm having USB troubles too -- Kelly's Korner had a script to tell whether
USB 2 is enabled. Mine is. I looked at the Regfix but don't understand it.
What will it do? (I'm hesitant to run RegFixes unless I know what they
mean.

If you use a search engine, you can find references to the word "USBBIOSx".
Such a word looks unique enough, to focus on your problem.
