my norton protection center

my norton protection center has an red x on my toolbar! ive went to see what
the problem was and it pops saying LIVE UPDATE , with a list of updates for
my computer. i click next and it proceeds to install them but itll stop and
say that the product was aborted because live update was unable to launch its
callback helper process.
can someone help me!!!
