I can't get my server (the one&only Domain Controler) to
show up in "my network places". Every other machine shows
up just fine, and if I search for the DC by name I can do
just about everthing I want (see & access folders etc.).
But when I browse from another machine the DC seems to be
invisible. (I can find it in the Active Directory listing,
just not in MS windows networking).
If anyone knows how to remedy this - I'd like to know it
too!

If all else fails, use tip 6291 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com

According to me I feel that this problem is related to your DNS. You have to create a new Host record and pointer record for the specific machine in your DNS and then try to access your DC from My Network Places or search your DC.

If this problem does'nt help you. Then, after creating new host and pointer, rejoin your DC from the specific client.

If this again does'nt solve your problem then this might be related to OS (Win 9x and Windows 2000 Mode)
