I have two separate server both domain controllers. They are both same
subnet i.e 255.255.255.0. Server A ip 192.168.0.1 and server B 192.168.0.2.
If i reset serve A server B is not in my network places-entire network. If I
ping server B 192.168.0.2 from server A i get a reply and it then appears in
my network places. The same happens on the other server. They are both AD
servers and separate domains and tree.

Reset? You mean resetting the computer account in Active Directory? Curious
why you are "resetting" Server A? Are you having any errors? Can you post
the Event ID if you are? Thanks.

Or do you mean restarting the server?

As for the neighborhood, that is based on the Browser service. The Browser
service can take upto 15 minutes to show up in the neighborhood, such as a
machine just booting up.

Its ok now I have found out that it takes about five minutes for the other
server to broadcast, than it shows in my network places. By resetting i mean
down the server.

I see. So yes, your 5 minutes falls in line with the max 15 minute rule for
the Browser service. That 15 minute rule usually applies to mutliple subnets
in a large enterprise environment.

Is there a way of controlling the browser service i.e stop it from
broadcasting.

That's how it works. If you don't want the browser service, it can be
eliminated on your machines, but then Network Neighborhood won't get
populated. Youy can force it to one machine to be the Master Browser too.

Let me know which you're speaking of.
