My network finally works

After working several days I finally have a working
network at home. The best advice I have seen is for the
setup wizard. When using a cable modem connected directly
to a router select the "this computer connets to the
internet through another computer on my network or
through a resedential gateway" button. Once I ran this on
both computers I was sharing files and a printer within
minutes.

Yes, you need to spend days and months to make an XP network work, but do not count your chickens yet , XP is buggy and a problem will surely arise before long .
 
Days and months???? Its never taken me than 5 minutes to set up a working
network. I'd be out of business.
