My network ... again

Dear All,

Please bear with me. I have asked about this before but
have made *some* progress ... not enough though.

I am running Office and Windows XP and am trying to run a
simple peer to peer network. I want to share internet
connections and am using Broadband for that.

My host computer, a laptop, is fine and everything works
well. My desktop, however, will receive emails in Outlook,
will let us share files, Internet Explorer will let
www.google.co.uk search and return results from the web on
any subject you like: definitely not from cache; one web
based email account will work in full. Absolutely all
other web sites fail to work.

I just don't get it! I let Windows choose the IP addresses
and everything: even though I have tried to impose my own.

Is there *anything* that can be done to solve this very
old problem now?

Is it a settings problem? Is it a software conflict that I
don't know about ... what can it be?

ANY help will be useful.

Duncan

If you have a broadband connection, then you have an account create by
software came with router DSL.
For Windows XP
Open that account, select properties to open
Intab advance, Category Internet connection sharing
Check Allow other network user connect through this computer's Internet
connection
Check Establish a dial-up...... (that allow dial on demand)
Check Allow other network user... (if you want to control this sharing
fromremote computer)
Press OK to complete. you will be ask for reboot

Setting your desktop computer use DHCP allocate from windows xp said
computer
Reboot after that.

Now u can shareing Internet between 2 computer
