I stupidly deleted the My Music folder from My Documets. It disappeared from
the Start Up Menu and I can't restore it. I have tried just creating a New
Folder in My Documents called My Music but that doesn't work. My ITunes does
not work either because it says there is no My Music Folder. How do I restore
the My Muisc folder apart from doing a full System Restore?

Hi Mallard,

See if its in the recycle bin and restore it. If not recreate it and restart
your computer.

Try typing "shell:my music" without quotes marks in Start/Run dialog box

What does putting "shell:my music" in the run box supposed to do? I did it
and it just took my to where my music is.

Mallard,

Fix the "My Music" folder path in the registry.

Registry Key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders
Default Path
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\My Music

No. Not that key, Donny.

Not in recycle bin. As I said in my first post. I already recreated My Music
in My Documents but it doesn't appear on Start Menu, I can't see in in Tweak
UI and ITunes doesn't see it.

I did fix the "My Music" path in the registry and re-booted. Made no
difference I'm afraid. Still doesn't appear on Start Menu, still ITunes can't
find it and it doesn't appear in Tweak UI.

How about- Right click start- Properties- start menu- customize- advanced,
and put a check in which ever box you want.

As far as I know that will only put "My Music" in the START menu.

Type this in Start, Run:

reg export "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders" c:\usf.txt

Then open the file usf.txt (present in C:\) using Notepad, and post the
contents here.

Snip-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Try Copy on the Default User's My Documents\My Music.

Then Paste the folder under your My Documents
Make sure the Security settings are setup for you, Administrators and
System.
