The NDR (non-delivery) status message your mom gets back says a hell of
a lot more than just "postmaster undeliverable". Post the complete
status message (but munge the e-mail address and any other personal
info). What OS you are using is irrelevant. Your mom is sending her
message to whomever is your e-mail provider. Is that you? More likely
that would be your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Their e-mail server
could care less about what OS you use. The problem is between your mom
and your e-mail server.

Some ISPs block mail from selected other ISPs because of too much spam from
the other ISP's customers. For example, sometimes AOL blocks mail from
Comcast. Ask your ISP.

Whether you both have XP is irrelevant. E-mail doesn't care what
operating system you use, or even what kind of computer you have.

Your mother should check with her ISP and explain her problem to
them; it's likely that they can help her find out what's wrong.

The other replies may well apply. But first, has your e-mail address been
placed in your Mother's address book correctly ? Just like with snail mail,
an incorrect one will get a return.

One thought - can she recive e_mail from you ? If so, get her to reply to a
new message from you (not create a new message) - you are then certain that
she is using your CORRECT ID.
If this works, then you know it's a prob with her address book/system. It's
not an XP problem - esp. as you say you get other mail OK.

Have your Mom check her address book to make sure she has your correct email
address. Also, have you changed your address and forgot to tell her?

By the way, XP has nothing to do with the problem.
