I have just bought a Lexmark X1270 multi-fuction printer.
After a couple of hours I finally managed to install the software and
drivers.
But when I try to print or scan I recieve this error message: "The printer
cannot communicate with the printer".
According to the Device Manager the drivers are installed correctly.
I have checked Lexmark's home page, and there are no drivers for Windows
Vista available there.
I'm using Windows Vista Build 5384.

Any suggestions?

The error message is naturally: "The printer cannot communicate with the
COMPUTER", not the printer :-)

I have the RC2 5744 build but I still do not see a driver for it. You will
need to see if Lexmark is going to provide this driver in the final build,
or provide it for download.

Lexmark has stated that no drivers will be released until Vista launches.
Forced XPdriver installation and that was a no go too. I guess us Lexmark
people are SOL
