Hi:
I have an application on ASP.NET installed on Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0
with SQL Server 2005, when my internet connection is broken the app doesn't
work. I have my LAN DNS. The app, website and DB are on the same server.
The dns is in another server. Please, I appreciate your help with this
problem.

Thank you.

Hello (e-mail address removed),

How is the application using DNS, via name or ip address? Did you configured
an ALIAS pointing to the server and tested it then?

Best regards

Hello Meinor:
The application is using the DNS via name. I don't understand what you are
trying to say in the second question. Let me know in the webserver I created
a virtual directory and set your alias name. Please let me know if if
answered yor question.

Thanks for your help.

Hello (e-mail address removed),

I talk about the DNS management console and an entry in the DNS server.

Thanks,

Hello (e-mail address removed),

So you have no own DNS server in your LAN?
