For about the last 3 weeks or so, whenever I click on the blue E icon,
instead of the page opening, I get a page stating that "The page cannot be
displayed", which means that they "cannot find server".

I've tried reloading the page to no avail. Security Updates also don't
improve the situation. I'm no computer wiz, and I'd sure appreciate some help.

Thanks

Hi,
From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." If that allows IE to work, another program is causing
the problem- probably an adware, spyware, parasite program.

Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Or, the appropriate (for your OS) winsock repair tool may help. You could
try running a winsock repair tool before removing malware. It's common to
have to run one after a cleanup.

LSPFix- all versions of Windows http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.zip

From LavaSoft- all versions of Windows-

Winsock2 Fix- Win98, ME

WinsockXP Fix- WinXP http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
Also, with instructions, at http://www.iup.edu/house/resnet/winfix.shtm

Hope this helps,
