Hello, I am new here and pretty new to trying to troubleshoot this IE
problem: I was able to get into where I work at this morning and now I am
unable to acess the website and my work email although this seems to be the
only website I am having a problem with, I have tried everything and feel
like deleting IE and the windows SP2 as well...........i have been directed
to change my browser to another one, is anyone else going through this as
well? it is very frustrating and I feel like throwing my pC out a
window......thank you.I have windows XP, IE version # 6.

Hey Judy!

Don't go deleting stuff just yet! And it's probably close
to impossible to delete SP2, so maybe you should first try
some other stuff. Asking for help on this site is a good
start! (Never let a computer get the better of you; throw
it out the window and you'll have to buy a new one which
is probably going to give you a different flavor of the
same problems... :-)

Unfortunately, SP2 did not install on my system, so I have
no expereience with that --you may want to check your
firewall settings. However, are you sure the website
you're trying to access isn't down? What do you see when
you try to go to that site? Have you tried to access it
using another computer? (Just to see if it's really your
computer that's causing your problems, and not that
website.) Have you had this problem eversince you
installed SP2, or has the website been accessible from
your computer after that?

Actually, SP2 is easy to remove. It's in Control Panel | Add/Remove
Programs.

Oops, sorry. Well, I already indicated that when it comes
to SP2, I'm not too knowledgeable --I didn't even get it
to install from my MSDN DVD... :-)
