My home page keeps changing

I am constantly going into the Tools / Internet Options /
and re-setting my homepage to a specific sports related
website. I click on "apply" and the home page button
always works - UNTIL - I power down. Once I power down,
the home page always resets itself to a website called
www.searchdot.com ........ and I can't do anything about
it. I even tried putting this on a "restricted site". But
that doesn't work either.

How do I PERMANENTLY set my browser to always open up to
the same website?

The problem may be due to a spyware.

Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system and eliminate
the malware products. Re-apply the above fix if necessary.
** Remember to update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware **
