My hard drive vanished from My Computer

All of a sudden the additional hard drive I installed a
month ago vanished from My Computer. It does not show in
device manager, but does show up under "installed
hardware" if I try to add hardware through the wizard.
Can you tell me how to get it to show up again???
 
Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
select Disk Management. It should appear on the right hand side of the
screen from where you can assign it a drive letter.
