My FP Hit counters do not work. FP Extensions are installed.

The FP Hit counters do not work. It shows the image missing red X.
FPCount.exe and the hit counter gif are in the correct subdirectory on the
server. The permissions on the extensions are set correctly. The CNT files
are on the server, but they are never updated.
 
The permissions on the _private are not correct, a server health check needs to be run with all
options selected.

Are you creating/inserting the hit counter on the page directly on the live/remote server or locally
and then publishing via FP's http mode to the server?

Then you host has configured the extensions permissions correctly.
