Hi everyone,
I have a Windows 2000 PC set up as an FTP server, running the WS_FTP Server
software. This PC does not have a floppy disk. Email access and Internet
browser have been disabled. So the ONLY access to this PC from the outside
world is thru this FTP server. But only one unique user name was set up to
send data to this FTP server.
I kept receiving trojan horse viruses on a weekly basis, so I installed Norton
Antivirus Firewall software, and the trojan horse viruses stopped penetrating
this PC for the last month.
All of a sudden today, this PC got hit with a trojan horse virus that Norton
Antivirus software detected but couldn't delete.
Two questions:
1) How can trojan horses still hit this PC now that a firewall software was
installed?
2) Other than what I have done, what else can I do to stop these trojan horses
from hitting this PC? Thanks in advance.
