My Fax Console Dies Every Time I Turn My Computer Off

I have a Dell Computer with Windows XP installed. I have a 56K Fax Modem on
my computer. My Fax Console Dies every time I turn my computer off. I have
to uninstall and reinstall my fax console every time I want to use it. I
have to have prior notice if someone wants to fax anything to me. Again, I
have to make sure the fax console is up and running every time I want to use
it. Dell Tech support has charged me over $200.00 to install fax fix from
the internet. I have done several system restores on my computer and have
also let them log onto my computer to fix the problem and it still dies every
time I cut my computer off. I stopped calling Dell because that is just a
flat out rip off. I just do like I said, uninstall and reinstall my fax
console now until I can come up with another solution. All my fax files are
intact. I haven't lost any of that information. My console just says "All
fax printers are unavailable." Is there a new driver that I need to install
that I'm not aware of yet? Any suggestions?

When you turn your computer off you also turn off your modem, period!
To send and receive a Fax your PC MUST stay ON.
If you have a Dell PC, it should also have Phone Tools installed which has
an excellent Fax program you can use. MS Fax is not on top of the fax list.
