Using http://my.msn.com I have the "My favorite links" as an active
"content" (i.e.; it's shown on the my home screen). Does anyone know where
the location of each link is kept? The problem I have is randomly my.msn.com
has the current links, then another time it has the previous links. I am
signed in to .net in each case. Closing the web an re-entering does not fix
this.

Favorites are held in the Favorites folder. The location can vary
according to installation and operating system.
Right-click a favorite, select Properties and the General tab should
show you the current location.

I was not referring to favorites. "My favorite links" is a completely
different thing. It's loaded through the "Add content" function in IE.

Hi Frank - I would suspect that these links are held in a cookie in your
Cookies folder. If they keep changing, it may be because you're clearing
cookies, and the accrual process has to start over. They may also be "aged"
and dropped by MSN after specific periods of non-use.

Thanks but I don't think that is the problem. It doesn't happen on any
standard procedure. Just random. For example, if it happened once a day or
every time the computer is turned on it would have a pattern and could be
traced down. That's not what happens now. It might go a few days before it
loads the old or it might use the current and then the old during one
session.

Also, this has not always been a problem. It started acting up like this
recently. I keep the latest updates for MS XP Home , with Norton AV,
AdAware, PestPatrol, SpyBot, HiJack This and Bazooka Scanner so I should be
protected from just about anything.

Maybe XP2 will fix it but that's in the future.

Hi Frank - Well, one other possibility - your Cookie folder may have become
corrupted. Try copying all of your cookies to a new temp folder, then
delete your Cookie folder and re-boot. A new "clean" on will be created
into which you can now return the cookies you copied. See if that clears it
up.

I just did it. If I don't get the old after a few dates that fixed it so
I'll let you know soon.
