My excel spreadsheets won't let me edit them in any way? Help!

Does anyone know how to solve this? It has not done this before. I've tried
re-starting the programme and computer etc....and i have full admissions to
the programme but i cannot do anything with it. And also when i open a new
spreadsheet i cannot even edit or add anything to this either.
 
Were you using a Trial version of Excel? When the trial period expires, you
will only be able to view/print workbooks. You will no longer be able to
edit or make changes.
