My E is broken!

I'm queen of the land of stupids - i popped off the "E" on my sony vaio
laptop and can't fix it. Local guys tell me to find a replacement
keyboard but can't find my model number online. Model # is VGN-FS920.
There's a new FS980 coming out but not yet in stores. Can't find
compatible keyboard. Can someone make this easy on me?

What could anyone do to make this easy on you? You need a replacement
keyboard. Call Sony tech support for repair/replacement. The alternative
would be to use an external keyboard which is a pain with a laptop.

What's missing? Did you break the scissor lift, or lose the rubber
plunger. Putting these back may be difficult and delicate, but not
impossible, if you have all the parts.

Things happen... Sony has a help line if still in warrantee... or you
can plug an external keyboard into the back.. you can also plub in an
other moniter or tv.. check your sony manual or download a new one from
sony.
