"My Downloads" window crashing to desktop

I'm having a problem with the "My Downloads" window. I can open the window
but then it stops responding, and I have to use Ctrl+Alt+Delete to end the
window, and then the desktop has to reload. I have WinXP Pro SP2. Are there
any suggestions on how to fix this?

If you don't need anything that is listed there, my advice would be to
delete the contents. Other than that, run this combo and try again:
Ad-Aware, Spybot and HijackThis:
