I'm presuming you're using a laptop?

One option: native Offline Files.
My preferred option: www.centered.com - SecondCopy 2000. Set MyDocs to point
to a local folder (c:\data ?) and set up a sync profile in SecondCopy to run
whenever you wish. They have a free fully-functional 30-day eval - check it
out. It's become standard laptop s/w for my clients - I can't stand offline
files as I've had & seen way too many problems, and esp. with VPN you can
see some funky things like
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q290523

I have no affiliation with centerd.com, and they are not helping me fund my
new yacht. I just like their stuff.
