My Documents Opens on Startup!

'My Documents' Open when I start the computer and logon!
It is driving me crazy. I have looked in what I thought
were the obvious places where I choose what opens when I
start the computer and I cannot find it. Also I do not
want the MSN Messenger sign in Window to open when I
start the computer either. I am sure this is simple -
can anyone advise where I can change these settings???

go to start> then click run> type msconfig into the dialog box that opens
a new window will open. click the button that says selective startup go to
the last tab on the right that says startup click the tab and you'll see all
the programs that is running in the background.....(note: uncheck only the
ones you know what they are.) if you dont know leave it alone) then click
apply and ok and restart your computer.....................Richard
 
oh almost forgot. also check your start up folder
Go to start> then to all programs> look for a folder that says startup. if
there's a shortcut to my documents in this folder documents will start up
when windows start. if there's a short cut to my document just remove the
shortcut from the startup folder............Richard
