Hello,
How do I restore the original icon for My Documents back onto the XP Home
desktop. (A glitch using the Premiere 6.5 titler utility caused it to
disappear). I can always create my own shortcut but I want the installed
icon look back please.

Have you tried Right-clicking on the Desktop -> Properties -> Desktop Tab ->
Customize button and then ticking the My Doucments?
 
Right click on the desktop and choose Properties. Go to the Desktop tab and
click on the Customize Desktop button.

Right click on the shortcut on the desktop then click properties then the shortcut tab and then click the change icon button down the bottom in the middle and choose the one you want. Good luck.{:~)
