A customer lost there operating system (do to a virus I think). There wanted
some files on the disk. They had an old hard disk lying around, so the loaded
XP Pro on that and slaved the other disk. This worked fine, except that one
of the My Document folders had been made private and now it cannot be
accessed. How do I get into the folder?

Carey,
Funny ol' thing, I've just posted the identical question under "general" and
later found your advice. Hot on the trail of the solution, but for one
thing; the "Use simple file sharing (Recommended) check box is not present.
However my sons folder was made private under XP Pro and we have since
deleted the primary partition and reverted to XP Home. Any Ideas

Hi,

Note this one from KB308421:

<quote>
If you are running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, you must
start the computer in safe mode, and then log on with an account
that has Administrative rights to have access to the Security tab.
