P4P800, first version bios:
In Device Manager (WinXP) under Processors it lists *2* Intel Pentium 4 CPU
2.40GHz. Is that correct?

Also in the BIOS under CPU it lists the speed for my P4 2.4cGHz as 2400Hz.
Is that correct? Memory is correct at 512MB. All BIOS settings at Default.

Should I update the BIOS? I've heard nightmare stories about problems doing
that. On the ASUS site is says to update with the BIOS file on a floppy in
DOS. I'm using XP without DOS so do I have to use a DOS boot disk first to
keep XP from loading?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Beau Langer

Hyperthreading looks to the OS as if you had 2 CPUs.

Probably they mean 2400MHz instead of Hz.

If it isn´t broke.....check if the BIOS version already installed supports
"PAT".

Yes. Be certain that your diskette is 100% error-free. If you have a
FAT32-partition on harddrive, flash from that one instead (still boot off
floppy).
