My Day Out (56k Warning)

Went out to Old Portsmouth today... took my trusty K800i with me, and took some snaps.

Then took a family friend to Southampton Part Time Airport Hair Care and Tyre centre so she could catch her flight back to manchester so she could go home to Wales. Beats 8 hours on the National Express coach.

I guess this thread kind of ties in with the whole "take pictures of your local area" thing as mentioned here, as portsmouth is only 20 minutes up... sorry down...the A3/A3M/M27 from us. I have to say though i really quite dislike most of Pompey as a city apart from Port Solent, Gunwharf Quays and a couple of other places. Its just so, run down, full of chavs and im not a great fan of the whole coastal thing though there are some places around that make for some cracking photos.

Oh and if any of you get the chance to fly to or from S'Hampton airport, its a great place. Really is.

I went to Portsmouth many many years ago as part of a school journey.

As I remember, it was run down, it was raining, there were many navy boats there.

I was about 11 or 12 at the time. I haven't been back since.

I personally think that any coastal town between Bognor and Bournemouth is a bit crap.

But that's just me

Haha its a plate of chips on a plate at the pub, taken with one of the effects...solarize... my phone has turned on.

Yeah we saw some navy boats go by, mine sweepers. Lots of passenger RORO ferries too.

My dad works in Hilsea so he goes there literally every day, and its one of our nearest big places to shop so we have to go quite often - though i prefer Guildford.

I hate the road systems in cities though... pet hate. Especially some of the roundabouts in P'mouth
