My contacts show in the wrong folder

Even when I check the contacts for the proper folder selected to file to,
they are showing up in the wrong folder. I have several conflicts with
addresss in the wrong folder within my contacts?
 
You must include an accurate and clear description of your problem including
your Outlook version and the view to which you are referring. Your post has
no meaning to anyone not looking over your shoulder.

I'm using MS office 03. The Problem is with the way my outlook contacts
list is showing up in the folders I have setup. How can a file that shows in
the Categoires tab on the contact window as filed in a selected folder taken
from the pull down list of categories in the categories list, end up sorted
and showing in the wrong categorie folder?

We're not much closer. Neither Files nor Folders even appear in the By
Category view.
Please take another stab an describing your view and your problem more
clearly.

I'll try again. I show sections,cells I guess you could call them in my
contacts view window. The first one is upper left and has folders or files
that are named, contacts,3C,DRHE, UUA, and others. The next cell just below
it middle left side is current view and if I look at my address/contacts by
catagory, or phone list or any other view I have records that are not sorted
as I have identified the catagory in the address card view, thats the pull
down section of the address card that allows you to specify the catagory to
file them in.
When I open a appress/contact to check the catagory that I have filed them
under, the correct one is specified, and no others are selected. I do have
address files/cards that are filed under several catagories and they sort
correctly?
Perhaps when I syn with my palm e2 using Key Suite the files are getting
miss filed? I'm still trying figure out how to clear it up. I may have to
find someone who can see what I'm trying to clear up. Best I can do for
descriptions.

Are you saying that when you select the "By Category" view of your Contacts
Folder, it is not grouped by category? You can't sort by category. Category
sort is meaningless and impossible, since any contact may be listed
under multiple categories.
