When I click on my computer (or any windows related icon) it wants to
connect to internet. If I'm online it opens internet explorer (
although I use firefox) and tries to connect to a site of unknown
content. If I'm offline I can click on "connect" or "stay offline",
when I click on "stay offline"only then it opens my computer or other
windows related icon I clicked on (example control panel). I don't know
what to do. Maybe it's a spyware or adware but I myself can't solve the
problem. Maybe someone knows what is happening and how to solve it. I
use windows xp professional. Thanx.........

This behavior may be caused by malware. Here are general malware removal
steps for you to follow:

If the steps look too complex for you (and there is no shame in
admitting this), take the machine to a professional computer repair
shop - not your local equivalent of BigStoreUSA.
