All,

Is it possible to re-name the My Computer icon on a Windows 2000 desktop to
a static name no matter which user is logged on?

We have a range of Windows 2000 Advanced servers running Terminal Services
in Application mode and I'd like the My Computer icon to change to the name
of the server. We have 17 TS servers in a load balanced cluster and it's
really easy sometimes to loose track of which server you are using when you
are trouble shooting from a remote site where we only have access to the
load balanced IP address.

Cheers,
Paul.

Paul,

Remember that you always have the command Hostname to tell you where you
are.

Also, create a policy on each server to display the server name in the
background on each server for the admin level accounts. There are also 3rd
party tools that can display this and system stats in the background on the
active desktop.
