The "My Computer" request takes between 45 to 90 seconds to display information. The flashlight just goes back and forth. Then finally I get my information. This will repeat its self a short time later. System is Win XP Pro. Using McAfee Virus Scan and its up to date.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Last few times I saw this happen was caused by 'clobbered' IDE
drivers. Find, download and install the latest drivers for your
chipset (if chipset is VIA, find the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers).
