I've been trying to do some housecleaning on my hard drive by moving
files from one folder to another using My Computer, clicking on
Folders then on C drive.

The first move works fine but as soon as I try to move a second batch
of files, the window closes completely.

I tried dragging and dropping which works great until I try deleting a
file, then the window closes again. It's becoming most frustrating
having to load My Computer all the time just to manipulate a few
files.

I'm running a 3GHz system with 1024Mb RAM.

Any solution to this problem sure would be appreciated.

You may have tried these ...

Open two instances of My Computer and drag from one to the other

Or in My Computer View / Explorer Bar / Folders

No Matter how I open My Computer or Windows Explorer, I can only cut
and paste/copy/delete three or four files. The next time I try any of
those operations, the window closes. Dragging and dropping will
prolong the operation creating a false sense of complacency but as
soon as I right click on a file to either view or delete it, bingo,
the window closes again.

It doesn't even minimize, it closes completely as if I'd clicked on
the top right corner.

I am experiencing the same problem, although a bit more extreme
as soon as I drag a file outside of the explorer window, the explorer window closes
right-click copy, paste or cut are also producing the same effect. Its crazy
It is virtually impossible to move/copy files by mouse, only the command prompt (cmd) will work OK

Is there a solution??? Anybody: HELP!!!!
