My Computer slow to open

All of a sudden, my computer takes several seconds to open.
It just sits there, and loads after a several second
delay. I have already done a file scan and defrag. Any
ideas?

What is running in the background? Check applications and processes with
Task Manager. What does "already done a file scan" mean? Did you scan
with antivirus using updated definitions? Remove spyware with Spybot
S&D and/or Ad-aware. Delete temporary and temporary internet files.
After the machine is cleaned up if problem persists post back with
system details.

Was afraid of that when I first posted. Not the computer
I own, I'm talking Windows Explorer (My Computer) is slow
to open and find drives. Once it does open, it is slow to
respond when I click on a drive to explore. BTW, I have
already checked for adware and spybots, defragged, and did
error-checking (filescan).

Was afraid of what? Scan with updated antivirus and post results. Since
you've removed spyware and done disk-cleaning, if your computer is also
virus-free you may have hardware problems.
