I recently downloaded an ad-removal program from download.com called
Ad-Aware. I've used this program in the past and it has worked well, but
now...

Everytime I try to run the program, my computer restarts itself. It gives
me 60 seconds to shut stuff out and it says something about the "remote
procedure call" (RPC) or something... and that it has something to do with
the NTSYSTEM.

I don't know what to do. If anyone can help, please let me know. This is
driving me crazy. This and those ridiculous pop-ups.

Hi,

1) Turn on your firewall. Its being off is what caused this problem in the
first place. Look in the properties of your network connection.

2) When the countdown starts, click start/run and type "shutdown -a"
(without the quotes), then click ok. This will halt the process so you can
have time to do the next step.

3) Now, download (do not run, but save) stinger from
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger

4) Restart in Safe mode, then run the stinger file.

How to start in Safe mode:

5) Restart normally when stinger is done.
