my computer restarts when i quit from any game

my computer restarts when i quit from any game and in the
middle of it. i have an error message like windows have to
restart after an error with a "cmuda" file. i don't know
if my sound driver is to blame for that but is happening
and it's not confortable. something in the message goes
like this : "virtual memmory in cmuda.sys" i do not knoe
what to do i reinstalled he sound driver a couple of times
but it's the same. please help me. this happend only with
win xp professional.

That error seems to be quite common with the C-Media sound chips.
Here's some suggestions and advice you can try. I hope it helps! :-)

1. Try a variety of different drivers for your C-Media both old and new.

2. Lower your Sound Acceleration: Click START / RUN, type: DXDIAG press [Enter].
then click the Sound tab and slide the acceleration slider a couple of notches to the left.

3. Make sure your Chipset drivers are up to date.

4. Check for items that use the same IRQ and move them into another slot.

5. Disable the onboard C-Media sound chip and buy a quality sound card.
