My computer restarts continuously

I have recently had a problem with my computer that
required me to restore WIN2000 from the setup disk. Every
Microsoft application needed to be reinstalled before
using them at this point. The windows update screen
informed me that there were updates to install, so I did.
After that, the computer continuously restarts, even in
safe mode. Again i restore the system with the WIN2000 CD
and the whole process starts over again. Any advise?

You've got blasted.
Open Taskmanager and look for the msblast.exe, mspatch.exe or
teekids-proces. Kill it and go to www.sophos.com\support\desinfection to get
the removaltool. After that install ms03-039 from microsoft to prevent from
happening again.
