My computer is acting funny ?

I have Windows XP and I have a laptop computer and when I use my scrolling
bar to go up or down my screen goes slow and wavy and when I drag things
around the screen it also looks slow and wavy. I also have wireless internet
and someone said I should'nt reinstall windows xp cause I will lose my
wireless internet. My computer wont let me do a refresh rate in my display
settings. Everything on my computer seems to be ok except the scrolling and
dragging. I dont understand what's going on. I did a virus scan and that was
ok too. Please help if you can.

This sounds very much like your graphics using a generic driver which is not
making use of all the acceleration facilities that you graphic card is
capable of.

I would suggest that you visit you laptop manufacturer's site and see if
suitable drivers are available. Don't be tempted to go to the graphic chip
manufacturer's site, because laptop makers often customise the graphics and
their drivers.
