'My Computer' icon

What does it mean when the 'My Computer' icon in XP Pro
is not the normal one, and the user has not changed it?
It intermittentantly changes between a bitmappy version
and it's regular glossy self. Any ideas?

sounds like the icon cache is messed up a bit.

if you have TweakUI, under the repair section is a "rebuild icons" choice.

if you don't have tweakUI you should:

some of the other powertoys are cool too, but tweakUI is the best.
