When I boot up my PC this morning, I found that the My Compuer icon, normaly
at the top left hand corner of my screen has disappeared. How do I
re-install it. Many thks and Happy Christmas.

Right click on your desktop. Properties. Desktop. Customize desktop. You'll
see the option to add My computer icon.

Try that.

Click on "Start" (bottom left of computer screen), then right click your
mouse on "My Computer" . Now select the item "Show on Desktop"

Hello. There are 2 ways of fixing this. 1) Right-click the taskbar (the thing
that has the Start menu) and click 'Properties'. Click the 'Start Menu' tab
and select 'Classic Start Menu'. Click OK. 2) Right-click your desktop and
click 'Properties'. Go to the 'Desktop' tab and click 'Customize Desktop'.
There should be some check boxes at the top of this window. Select 'My
Computer' and click OK to both boxes. This should solve your problem.

Well, Jimmy, don't look at me: I didn't take it! :-)
Go to Start, click My Computer with your RIGHT button on your mouse. Then
click Show on Desktop. You should now have a check mark next to these words.
