I'll appreciate if somebody can help me. My computer
freezes almost every time that I browse on internet or
when I'm reading or looking something in a web page, like
newspapers, games, etc. I've done every thing I know but
the problem continues. Thanks in advance if somebody knows
what's going on.

Freezes in IE are often caused by buggy video drivers.
You probably need new video drivers. Check the site for your video board
manufacturer. Meanwhile you can do the following:
1. Use the default mouse pointers.
2. Turn down your color depth. (Right click the desktop and choose
Properties | Appearance | Settings) Some people find that increasing color
depth helps.
3. Turn down your graphics hardware acceleration. (For Win 98, Start |
Settings | Control Panel | System | Performance | Graphics button) You will
see little, if any, performance degradation.
4. Turn off your desktop wallpaper.

If these make the problem go away you need new video drivers.

If you have an ATI video board, try adding these lines to System.ini

Mr Saunders: Thanks for your help. I tried things you
told me, but I got no improvments. Could you tell me how
can I know which video driver I have? I think that must be
the problem, because I see that my computer freezes more
when the web page where I am, have pictures or
advertisements with movement or some thing like that.
Could you help me what to do?

Go to Device Manager (How you get there depends on your Windows version) and
click the + in front of Display Adapters.

Another thing to try:

Get and run these programs (if you test after each one you can stop when
the problem is gone):
Ad-Aware:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com
and
Spybot - Search & Destroy -
http://security.kolla.de/
http://security.kolla.de/index.php?lang=en&page=download
http://spybot.eon.net.au/
http://www.tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/
and
BHO Demon: http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads/bhod/

Until the problem is solved.

If the problem site is your home page:

If the problem is a pop-up window, your computer may have been hijacked.

them in the future have a look at the link below:
