my computer does not detect my digital camera

my computer say's to check and make sure it is plugged in.
it is and i have tried uninstallig the driver and the
program and it is still not working. can u helpme?

With your usb / camera connection attached and the camera turned on , does
it show a extra drive in my computer? Jym
