My Character Map Program has been deleted

I used the Character Map program that comes with Windows
XP all the time and found it very handy. After returning
from a business trip I found that "Someone or some how"
the progam was no longer on my machine... Where can I
download this program or how can I restore this program.
I have looked every where for a site to download it but
no luck. Any suggestions???

Perform the following:

1. Right-click on your Desktop and select: NEW > SHORTCUT
2. In the Create Shortcut window, type in: CHARMAP.EXE , and click "Next".
3. In the next window, type in: Character Map , and click "Finish"
4. A Character Map shortcut icon should appear on your Desktop.

You can also uninstall/reinstall Character Map by going to:

Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components >
Accessories and Utilities > Details > Accessories > Details > Character Map

Thanks so much, the short cut tip did not work, Windows
could not find the charmap.exe.
So I did the add/remove programs tip and it worked like a
champ...
