Hello,

I was recently told by a co-worker that just by merely mousing-over my
meeting schedule that they could see the details of each meeting. People
should be able to see that I have something scheduled at certian times, but
not be able to see exactly what i am doing. I have played with different
features and have had no sucess in turning this off. I am running Outlook
2003 (11.5608.5703). Can someone point me to the setting that turns this off.

Thanks,

Kevin

When you are making an entry to your calendar via a "New
Appointment", check the box in the lower right-hand corner
to mark it as a Private Item. That should show time being
used on your calendar, but without the details.

I know you can change the settings in the client but I am looking for
something server sided to protect the users from themselves.

Is there anything that can be done in exchange 2003 to stop this info from
displaying if the outlook uses changes the planner option settings?

Also, when you check that box and users can then view your appointments, why
does this happen? what happens on the exchange server and client that allows
this?
