My Calendar Invite- Treating me Like I'm not the organizer

I have a calendar invite that I created and sent out about a month ago for an
event that is happening in December. I would like to send out an update, but
even though it lists me as the organizer, it treats me as though I am an
attendee and the send update option is not presented. Just the choice to
accept, tentative, decline or present new time.

Any idea how I can regain control of this invite? Or do I just need to send
a new one?

How are you trying to send out the update? Whaat version of Outlook and Exchange? Please give all details possible when posting a question.

Hi,
I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003. I originally sent out the invite to
everyone about a month ago. I believe that I requested to not "request
responses." Usually when I am the organizer of an event, if I make an update
to the location, a popup window comes up that says:
You have changed the meeting "Name of Meeting". Would you like to send this
updates meeting to the attendees now?

yes no cancel

If I chose yes, then it sends an update out to all the attendees and this
update replaces the original invite. This unfortunately is not the case.
For some reason, even though I created the invite, it is treating me as
though I am an attendee, and not the organizer (even though I am listed as
the organizer) and it therefore is not giving me the option to send out
updates.

Any idea how i can fix it? I could send out a new invite, but then the
thirty people who are invited to this meeting will have two copies of the
invites in their calendars. Any help would be appreciated!

If you double click the item to open it and select Actions, what do you see for choices?

Okay, I have now confirmed that something about your Outlook calendar is hosed. Is this a recurring appointment? Did you at any time elect to change something in the recurrence and NOT send an update?

Not sure. Looks like I'll just have to resend the invite and tell people to
delete the prior one.

Oh well. Thanks for your help.
